Inspiration // Scandinavian Boho

We're head over heels for Scandinavian Bohemian design. This Boho touch of the 1970's adds warmth to a classic design esthetic that some people may otherwise find cold. From the clean lines of the furniture, to the layers of vibrant colours and patterns, to the use of natural textures, we couldn't resist but draw inspiration from this current trend.

At the office, we're always sharing new ideas how to incorporate current trends within our projects and homes. Here are some of our inspirations that have us going Scandinavian Boho.

Add layers of greenery! Get creative with some succulents. They're low maintenance, and we love the simplicity of the colour blocking on these terracotta planters!

Have fun mixing and matching different shapes and materials. This has a lovely mix of fabric and wood elements.

Amber Interiors have us loving layered rugs. What a fun way to update a space and add that touch of Boho.

It was exciting to hear that a colleague decided to embrace a little Bohemia as well. She was inspired by an image similar to this one and installed a beautiful rattan chandelier.

Whether your interpretation of this trend errs more on the side of Scandinavian Modern than Bohemian, just add the details you love. You can either go full steam ahead and commit to the long haul, or just start out small by introducing it in little ways that complement your current design scheme. Share how you've been influenced to add a little of this trend in your decor!
