A Hanukkah Home

For a new take on the classic menorah consider a modern option, try gold dipped candles in concrete holders for a sleek and sophisticated style, or purchase a Manzanita branch candelabrum for your table's centerpiece for a fresh take on the traditional look. If you have the time you can even try the do-it-yourself approach, by spray-painting a Manzanita branch with metallic spray paint. You can amp up the DIY project by using hot glue, wire or screws to adhered small bits of wood that will act as tea light holders.

Bring in some mood lighting!  Fairy lights will brighten an entire holiday scene with a sparkling and magical glow. Use lanterns inside and outside to create a scheme with a sense of wonder. Micro bulbs are perfect for sprinkling throughout the house, use them to highlight candlesticks and vases with their dazzling glow. Lights also make great table decorations, try incorporating them into your tablescape this year!

Create a festive holiday table! A little time spent setting the table makes the Hanukkah feast more magical.  Go for bold when shopping for a table runner and napkins.  Bring in a seasonal floral centerpiece to create the focal point of the dining table. White calla lilies or seeded eucalyptus with purple fountain grass are the perfect colours.

Blue is usually the go to colour, try out different shades of Blue to add more depth to the decoration. Compliment the Blue with a little holiday sparkle using Gold or Silver to enhance the lights and bring in some contrast. Why not add a little pattern to your Hanukkah decorations,  to keep the pattern from becoming too busy, simply introduce it to your table with plates. For extra depth use different plates that vary in shades of the same color.

Top tip:  Consider using Gelt, foil-wrapped chocolate coins to sprinkle along the table.

We hope you find these tips helpful. Until next time!
