Dayton Show Home

Here at Home Ingredients we are always so excited to style a Showhome.  With all of our excitement we are sharing with you our creation at  Dayton Avenue! The development features 23 individual strata homes designed in a modern West Coast Architectural style by Taizo Yamamoto & Jacken Homes.

The open living room at Dayton boasts high ceilings and modern finishes, we wanted to keep the space light and neutral to compliment the architectural style, this was achieved by adding a subtle patterned area rug and a variety of textured decor pillows to add warmth and visual interest, without taking away from the beautiful architectural details.

Key Feature: The high ceilings create the perfect opportunity to add the ultimate gallery wall, bringing the living room, office and kitchen space together. We kept the artwork simple & modern.

Continuing with a modern style, we incorporated accessories that would bring in a playful element so that potential home owners could envision themselves, and their family relaxing while reading a book or watching TV.  The built in shelving  unit provided us with plenty of space to play around with, our team spent some time carefully picking the modern accessories to bring the shelving unit to life, adding splashes of colour.  We often incorporate books into shelving its a great way to bring interesting topics into a space.

Key Feature: The three piece hexagon coffee table makes this room. Flexible, fun & modern.

We wanted to keep the master bedroom modern and fresh like the rest of the house.  To create this look we selected a low profile bed that would tie in with the hanging pendants.  Keeping with modern clean lines the addition of the serene landscape artwork adds to the ambiance.

Key Feature: The abstract wall series brings out the colour in the bedding and pulls the room together perfectly.

We saw this room as the perfect opportunity to get playful and add colour! The animal watercolour series brings the room to life and works perfectly with the soft yellow bed linens and bright pillows. We switched up the throws to add a little contract between the beds.

Key Feature: Slim open nightstands fit the space perfectly and still allow storage space! We took the opportunity to add in a few children's books.

Dayton was a fun project, we had a great time brining this beautiful showhome to life. We hope that you all enjoy the end resuly. Until next time!
